Goodbye Denver Loft
November 16, 2016
We closed on "The Loft" and a 15 year era of sharing our Denver home with the dance and music community comes to an end. From Lindy Hop to West Coast Swing to Tango (and Swango and Blues), to over night (over week) guests, to Behind the Ogden Concerts, to the most creative neighborhood tagging ever, to Parades on Colfax, I have got to say, it has been a colorful experience. Thank you to all our friends and family for helping to create a space over flowing with creative vibes and loving energy. We leave filled with indescribable memories to last as long as our memory cells will hold out (😏🤔). Goodbye Loft and may your new owners love you as much as we do❣️
BUT, BTO Regulars, fear not. We have plans to continue with our concert series! We are researching new venues.
Stay Tuned!

Sign-Ups at BTO Yield TWO Bone Marrow Matches!
November 10, 2013
Congratulations to our TWO bone marrow matches!
As many of you know, we at BTO are ardent supporters of an organization
called Love Hope Strength. LHS runs bone marrow donor drives at
various events at venues which include The Pepsi Center, Red Rocks, and the Fillmore. Their mission is to save lives, one concert at a time.
With the help of LHS volunteers, BTO has added 22 people to the world
wide bone marrow donor registry! So why are we telling you this?
Because we are excited to announce that we have just learned that
TWO of those 22 people have been matched as potential lifesaving bone
marrow donors!! Considering how small the BTO venue is, this is extraordinary!!
I know from a close personal experience just how effective a bone marrow/stem cell transplant can be, as I spent quite
some time with a very dear friend while she went through the process of
this life saving technology. She just celebrated her third anniversary
since receiving the donation, and she is alive and well and thriving
today because of it. Yet one of the biggest problems with the transplant process
is finding donors to match the people who need life saving bone marrow.
That is where organizations like Love Hope Strength, which was started
by several musician superstars, comes in. They create a convenient
place for locating eligible volunteers who are willing to serve as potential
donors.
For us at BTO, which is a very small concert venue, to
have already been the source of two potential donors, is really
amazing and very exciting! So we want to thank all of you who have
signed up for the bone
marrow donor registry at our concerts, and we also want to encourage
anyone else who has not yet done so to check out the Love Hope Strength
website to learn more about what it means to be a potential bone marrow/stem
cell donor.
In honor of bone marrow transplant patients worldwide, we ask you to please consider supporting the LHS donor drives. Joining the bone marrow donor registry could be a life saving contribution. It could be YOU who saves a life!
And once again, CONGRATULATIONS to our donor matches!!!
PS we know there were two of you but due to confidentiality, LHS cannot give us your names.
